A BEAUTIFUL production of tabletop puppetry is heading to Kidderminster Town Hall next week.

Wyre Forest District Council has organised a performance of the Snow Baby, by Soap Soup Theatre Company, to take place at the town hall on Sunday, February 26.

The show is at the end of the February half term holidays and will take place in the Corn Exchange, at Kidderminster Town Hall, from 2.30pm.

The Snow Baby features imaginative storytelling and music to give audiences goosebumps.

The show tells the story of Doris and her Bear man who fall in love - but that is only just the beginning of the tale.

It also explores how Doris copes when the storm comes and her Bear man disappears.

She is alone on a hill, plagued with nothing but bad weather and a cloud of hungry cows for company.

Councillor Juliet Smith, Wyre Forest District Council’s cabinet member for health, well-being and housing, said: “This production is a great introduction to theatre for all the family.

“It is a gentle piece exploring family, love and loss - with lots of music, confetti and funny bits for the whole family to enjoy.”

Cllr Smith added: “We think it will be a great way to finish half term.”

The show will last for approximately 50 minutes and is suitable for children aged three and over.

Tickets for the show on February 26, cost £5.
