BEWDLEY Festival has announced a further two acts to its spectacular line-up for October's 30th anniversary festival.

Bewdley Festival organisers have announced that Jenni Murray and Jan Ravens will join the previously announced Roger McGough, Little Machine and the Tom Robinson Band for this year's line-up.

On the evening of Monday, October 9, Radio 4's Woman's Hour presenter, Jenni Murray, will present 'A History of Britain in 21 Women' - a presentation on the achievements of 21 women whose lives enthral, intrigue and inspire.

While, for the 30th anniversary year, organisers are promising a fantastic festival finale on Saturday, October 14, with a combination of comedy and satire from consummate impressionist Jan Ravens, bringing her new 'Difficult Woman' show from the Edinburgh Festival.

This year Bewdley Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary in the town and will run between Friday, October 6, and Sunday, October 15.

In February, it was announced poet Roger McGough is set to return to the stage he graced 30 years ago as he opens the festival.

Having performed alongside fellow Liverpool poet Brian Patten at the first ever Bewdley Festival in 1988, Roger McGough returns to the stage on opening night.

Tickets for the performances by Jenni Murray and Jan Ravens will go on sale tomorrow (Thursday, June 1).
