THE Nonentities drama company are bringing a classic black comedy to the Rose Theatre.

A contemporary play adaptation of the Ealing comedy 'The Ladykillers' will be performed by the long-time Kidderminster dramatics group from June 11 to June 16.

These performances will conclude the company's 80th anniversary celebrations where they staged a play for every decade active.

The adapted play was written by Father Ted and The IT Crowd writer Graham Linehan and is a madcap retelling of the much-loved British comedy.

The play follows the eccentric Mrs Wilberforce as her life take an unexpected turn when Professor Marcus knocks at her door.

The Professor and his four friends make an unlikely group of conmen, posing as amateur musicians and planning convoluted heist - using an unwitting Mrs Wilberforce to gain their fortune.

Audiences can expect trains, parrots, dresses, cellos, tea-time and to laugh along to the zany characters as the story unravels.
