Kidderminster East neighbourhood policing team

Inspector Edd Williams

Inspector Edd Williams is responsible for Local Policing in Wyre Forest. He has been in the post since August 2014. He joined West Mercia Police in November 2002 and has previously worked in Hereford and South Worcester as an Inspector and Sergeant working on a patrol team, in Safer Neighbourhood teams and on the Integrated Offender Management Unit.

He enjoys working with our partners and leading a team of motivated staff tackling local problems, striving to provide a better service to our communities.

Sergeant Alastair Catherwood

Alastair joined West Mercia Police in January 2003. After his two year probation he secured a role on the Operational Response Unit becoming a qualified Traffic Officer, Family Liaison Officer and Authorised Firearms Officer. He elected to move back to local policing in 2010 where he spent time as a Patrol Officer covering Malvern and Worcester areas. During this time he has spent over two years on temporary promotion to Sergeant covering the Pershore and Worcester areas. In August 2015 he successfully applied for the role of Safer Neighbourhood Officer with the Kidderminster Broadwaters team. In November 2016 Alastair was moved to become T/Sergeant for Bromsgrove Safer Neighbourhood teams and Kidderminster North and East.

Police Constable Andrew Wallace

I am PC Andy Wallace. In 1990, I joined what was then called West Mercia Constabulary now of course West Mercia Police. Throughout my policing career I have been fortunate to work in various departments and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute.

Police Community Support Officer Niall Ryland

After doing a degree down in Plymouth, Niall came back to Kidderminster where he had been in the job working in local policing for almost eight years. During that time, he largely worked within the same areas on the east side of Kidderminster, getting to know those parts of Wyre Forest very well.

Police Community Support Officer Rebecca Ruston

Rebecca joined West Mercia Police in October 2014 and is currently working on the Kidderminster East Safer Neighbourhood Team. She can be seen on patrol in Offmore, Comberton, Aggborough and Spennells as well as the rural areas so feel free to stop her for a chat or to discuss any concerns.
