Inspector David King

T/Inspector Dave King joined West Mercia Constabulary in 2001 and was posted to Redditch where he worked on local policing and response policing as a Police Constable, before moving to the old Bromsgrove Police Station on the Divisional CID in 2003. In 2006, Dave then went into specialist policing roles at Headquarters where he worked in Special Branch and the Serious Organised Crime Unit. Upon promotion to the rank of Sergeant in 2009, Dave returned to the North Worcestershire division and worked at Redditch and Kidderminster as a shift sergeant on response and as a custody sergeant. In 2017, Dave took up his current role as district Sergeant for Bromsgrove before recently moving to the Wyre Forest area as SNT Inspector.

Sergeant Neil Jarvis

Neil joined West Mercia Police in 1990, working in a variety of roles and departments based at Kidderminster. In 2004, he was promoted to Sergeant where he worked in both Bromsgrove and Redditch. In 2006, Neil joined the Safer Neighbourhood Team for the Wyre Forest and currently supervises the teams working there.

Police Constable Cathy Atkinson

PC Atkinson joined West Mercia Police in 2005. She worked as a Response Officer for about 9 years, working in Bromsgrove, Redditch, Alvechurch and Wythall.

In 2014, she joined CID, working on the Integrated Offender Management Team (IOM), covering Redditch, Bromsgrove and Kidderminster.

She joined the Safer Neighbourhood Team in October 2017, and after a few weeks of working in Kidderminster town centre, moved to the Stourport area.

Police Constable Sam Maher

Sam joined West Mercia Police in 2010 as a PCSO in North Worcestershire and later becoming a Police Officer in 2014. Following his two year probationary period spent on response at Worcester, Sam moved to Kidderminster as a response officer covering Stourport-On-Severn and then moved into Local Policing.

Sam is now a Safer Neighbourhood Officer for the Stourport Safer Neighbourhood Team and can be seen around the area on patrol.

Police Community Support Officer Shelley Wilcox

Shelley joined West Mercia Police in April 2007 and started her career working as a Police Community Support Officer in Bewdley and then moved onto Stourport-On-Severn. Since 2008, Shelley has worked on the Safer Neighbourhood Teams covering the whole of Stourport. Shelley has a lot of involvement with the business owners in the town centre helping them to run the local shop watch and to deter shoplifting.

Police Community Support Officer Lisa Hopkins

Lisa started working for West Mercia Police in 2005, where she originally started working at HQ in an admin based role. In 2007, Lisa joined as a Police Community Support Officer and became part of the Stourport Safer Neighbourhood Team. She spend a lot of time with the young people of Stourport and has strong connections with the local high school. She enjoys chatting with members of our community and will always help in anyway she can.

Police Community Support Officer Andrew Stevens

PCSO Stevens joined West Mercia Police in 2015. Beforehand, he was a Design Engineer and then worked as part of a large security team in Birmingham City Centre. He joined the Safer Neighbourhood Team for Stourport in April 2018, after working in Oldington, Foley and Sutton Park. Since joining the police, he has established himself as a keen cyclist. He can regularly be seen around Stourport riding a bicycle whilst on patrol, covering many miles. If you see him out and about, please go and speak to him, even if it is just to say hello!

 

Police Community Support Officer Patricia Roberts

PCSO Pat Roberts working in Arrowvale Academy Matchborough Redditch since May 2014, the safer school role is very proactive working with a cross section of the school community, I work closely with outside agencies to promote awareness in drugs, anti social behaviour, hate crime and domestic violence.

Time is spent in the feeder schools supporting with transitions into high school, staying safe, internet safety and bullying.

Police Community Support Officer Julie Garvey

I joined West Mercia Police in April 2018 to start my new career as a Police Community Support Officer. I have previously worked in retail, within the area of Customer Services, and I have worked with children as a Teaching Assistant. I enjoy helping people and I am looking forward to getting to know the community of Stourport.
