Mobile stolen at knifepoint
A TEENAGER has been robbed of his mobile phone and cash at knifepoint in Stourport.
The incident happened on a footpath between The Rough and Ryvere Close on The Walshes estate between 8.45pm and 9.15pm last Thursday.
A 16-year-old youth was walking along the path near some benches there when he was confronted by a man with a small knife who ordered him to hand over anything valuable.
The teenager gave him his Sony Ericsson mobile phone and a £5 note and the man then ran off through some trees.
The offender was described as white, in his late teens or early 20s, around six ft tall and of medium build.
He was wearing a dark coloured jacket with the Helly Hansen logo clearly visible on the back of the collar and dark Nike bottoms with white stripes down the side. He spoke with a Birmingham accent.
Det Sgt Duncan Lloyd said: "The victim was pretty shaken up immediately afterwards but there was no struggle and no-one was hurt.
"We would like to hear from anyone who may recognise the offender from the description or who may have seen him in the area before or after this robbery took place."
Witnesses or anyone with information should call police on 08457 444888, quoting incident number 675S200308 or ring Crimestoppers, anonymously and free, on 0800 555111.
