Grass fires tackled

BEATERS were used to put out two small grass fires in Kidderminster this afternoon.

Firefighters from the town's Castle Road HQ were called to two incidents on the Severn Valley Railway embankment in the Devil's Spittleful nature reserve.

The cause of both fires is unknown, thought they might be related to soaring temperatures in Wyre Forest today.
