Youngsters in Quinton came together to celebrate the birthday of the Christian church.

Members of Christ Church Quinton, St Paul and St Barnabas church and St Boniface church held a joint Pentecost party on the Highfield Lane recreation ground on Sunday.

The event included an outdoor service as well as picnicking and games for children.

Christ church Quinton curate Revd Alison Bownass said: "Pentecost or Whitsun is a very important day in the life of the church and we hope our celebrations will be a real blessing to our community."
