MOTORCYCLING: Members of Bewdley Motorcycle Club performed well at the 2008 Grass Track Championships in Bridgnorth on Sunday.

Kidderminster's Jason Stott, who won the national Championship 10 years ago, won all of his rides to go unbeaten and secure the 250cc class outright.

James Child bounced back from dropping points in his first two rides to win the 350cc class.

Finally, Bewdley's big bike specialist, Phil Ashcroft, looked all set to take top spot in the 500cc class until a bump in the far turn threw him off line and let Darren Pugh from Churchstoke grab the lead. Ashcroft was forced to settle for second place.

Lee Hazelwood, from Wolverley, totally dominated the class for quads, with four stylish wins.
