TWO men needed hospital treatment after being beaten over the head in an assault in Bewdley.
It happened on Saturday, between 11.30pm and 11.50pm in Load Street, near the entrance to the Dog Lane car park.
The victims, men in their 40s, have told officers they were attacked from behind by three youths and during the attack were both hit over the head with what they describe as a "cosh".
They said the youths were in company with a female and ran off towards the Dog Lane car park, where they possibly left the area in a vehicle.
The victims were treated for minor head injuries at Kidderminster Hospital Minor Injuries Unit.
PC Tony Hunt, of Stourport response, said there was no obvious motive for the assault and inquiries were ongoing, including examining CCTV footage.
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact PC Hunt on 08457 444888 or ring Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
