Van stolen in Kidderminster burglary

A VAN was stolen during a burglary in Kidderminster.

It happened between 5am and 9am last Friday in Talbot Street.

Thieves broke into a home and stole an LG 3D flat screen TV worth £1,100, a Sony 3D digital camera worth £350, an Apple iPad worth £450, a sat nav system, an Apple iPhone 3 worth £300 and the keys to a white LDV Maxus van, which they also stole from outside the house.

The van has since been recovered and was found not far away in Humphries Drive.

PC Adrian Bartlett of Kidderminster CID said: "We are eager to hear from anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity around Talbot Street on Friday morning.

"The thieves probably put everything in the van to transport it and they may have moved the stolen items to another vehicle before dumping the van nearby.

“We would like to hear from anyone who remembers seeing someone moving items from a white van early on Friday morning.

"Anyone who is offered items for sale similar to the ones stolen and is unsure of their origin should call police immediately."

Witnesses or anyone with information about the burglary should contact PC Bartlett on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident 144-S-191012, or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.

This is really terrible and should never happen but why is everything always made out to be so much more expensive than what it actually is? An Apple i phone 3 worth £300? Come on, sorry but it is just one of those things that has always puzzled me!
