WINE and baking competitions were held at a Harvest supper in Habberley to raise money for the Wyre Forest Talking Newspaper.

Seventy members of The Wine Island Tasting Society (TWITS) attended the supper at Habberley Church Hall.

An auction of produce was held which raised £170 for the charity, which provides recordings of Wyre Forest news for the blind or partially sighted.

The baking competition was won by Beryl Morris with her bakewell tart and John Hartland and Ray Green jointly won the fort wine competition with their red and white wines respectively.

The TWITS next event will be held on November 16 at Wolverley Church Hall featuring wines from countries beginning with the letter G.
