Two arrested on suspicion of Stourport armed robbery

TWO people have been arrested after an armed robbery at a convenience store in Stourport.

It happened at CNA News, Minster Road, at about 7.15pm yesterday.

Two people wearing hoods and partial face masks, one of whom was brandishing what appeared to be a sword, went into the store and demanded money and cigarettes. The male assistant handed over a quantity of cash and cigarettes.

Two men were arrested a short time later on suspicion of robbery. One was also arrested on suspicion of two public order offences and possessing an offensive weapon. They are currently in police custody, assisting with inquiries.
