A MAN died in a car collision near Far Forest after the car he was driving lost control and left the road.

The incident happened today by The Plough Inn pub on the Cleobury Road at about 8.20am and involved a yellow Peugeot 107.

The Peugeot left the road and went through a hedge before ending up in a field. The man driving it was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The Worcestershire Coroner has been informed and a post-mortem will be arranged in due course.

PC Richard Watkins from the Rubery-based Force Operations Support Team (FOST) said: “A man has tragically lost his life today and our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

“An investigation has been launched into how this happened and we are therefore eager to hear from anyone who saw the incident or remembers seeing the car just before 8.20am.”

An ambulance, paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham also attended the scene.
