A KIDDERMINSTER pharmacy technician has celebrated a record achievement clocking up a quarter of a century’s worth of service.
Angie Robinson, who works at The Midcounties Co-operative Pharmacy in Franche Road, was presented with an award after working for the group for 25 years.
She started off at the Foley Park pharmacy in Kidderminster, where she spent 10 years and was transferred to Franche Road to work flexible hours after starting a family.
Ms Robinson said: “I was very surprised and happy to have been presented with the award. I really enjoy working with Midcounties and this demonstrates how much they value their colleagues.”
Ms Robinson began her career as a sales assistant before moving up to become a pharmacy dispenser. She progressed to Accredited Checking Technician (ACT), after receiving training.
“I enjoy the work very much, “ she said. “It’s a good mixture of great colleagues, friendly customers and challenging tasks throughout. I hope to be here for a good few years to come.”
Adrian Wilkinson, pharmacy group general manager, added: “I would like to congratulate Angie on her achievement. She is a great member of the team and we are lucky to have her.”
Ms Robinson also received a bunch of flowers and £250 worth of co-operative vouchers.
