DRIVERS have been caught up in gridlock in Kidderminster this morning following last night's snowfall.
There are traffic problems in parts of the Spennells area causing tailbacks during rush hour.

As far as I was aware WCC did grit in anticipation of the snow and the local roads seem to be fine.

Ice will be a bigger problem tomorrow.
I still don't understand how people don't remember how to drive in the snow. It happens every year now. Slow down, allow more room & time. Avoid the brakes, gently on if you have to along with the power when you need it. Drive with anticipation and awareness. No sudden anything. Be courteous & patient, it's the same for every one.

Who reported a gridlock around Kidder must have been joking in my view or attention seekers.

Didn't realise Tesco had renamed Discovery Road when they built their new bridge?

To John Herbert Smith, 4 of us travelled to Hammersmith to a Polish Community Lunch. It was far cheaper and economical in terms of both money and time for us to travel by car. We left at 10.30 and were home by 7pm. That would not have been possible by train!

Are you joking, this isn't grid lock, this is a delay..
Grid lock occurs in cities where the snow doesn't normally fall and the vast majority of inhabitants don't know what to do. I know because I have experienced it many times.
After living in Bewdley for 33 years I can safely say that Bewdley/Kidderminste
r/Stourport NEVER suffer from gridlock. Yes it’s frustrating when you have idiots on the road, yes it seems like a little wait while you're stuck, but let’s face it, you were warned about the snow, it fell, you got stuck, who is to blame?
To the Shuttle, it's irresponsible to write 'Gridlock' as it's no such thing.

But have you heard of GroupSave?
4 people for the price of 2 on Off Peak and Super Off peak fares?
So London to Kidderminster could be as low as ~£13 per person!
"Think again, take the train."
