Laptops stolen during daytime burglary
12:49pm Tuesday 15th January 2013 in News
THREE laptops were among a number of electrical and jewellery items stolen during a daytime burglary in Kidderminster .
Thieves ransacked a house in Mike Oborski Close yesterday between 7.45am and 5.20pm, after breaking into the back of the property using tools they stole from the garden shed.
They took a £450 Hewlett Packard, a £500 Packard Bell and a £600 Lenovo laptop. A Navman satnav worth £100 was also taken along with an Apple iPod Touch, a £150 gents DKNY watch, a Ben Sherman watch worth £40 and an 18-carat gold necklace.
Investigating officer PC Derya Mustafa said: "We do not know if the offenders were on foot or in a vehicle so we are eager to hear from anyone who remembers seeing suspicious activity around Mike Oborski Close, especially any cars parked in unusual circumstances.
"As the burglary happened during the day we are hoping that someone may have seen the burglars in the area.
"If anyone is offered items for sale similar to those stolen and is unsure of their origin I would urge them to call the police straight away."
Witnesses or anyone with information about the burglary should contact PC Mustafa on 101, quoting incident 612-S-140113, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
