THE air ambulance was called to Wolverley to deal with an incident at a home in the village.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident at 9.26am today and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford landed at Sebright Green to take a man to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
A rapid response vehicle and ambulance crew also attended to escort the resident to the air ambulance, which had landed about a quarter of a mile away from his home.
