AUDIO tours in Wyre Forest will give residents a new way to experience the great outdoors.
Worcestershire County Council’s countryside service has unveiled four new audio trails - available for download from its website - developed for the district, each acting as a personal tour guide, ensuring explorers follow the correct path.
The tours offer descriptions covering interesting heritage and wildlife characteristics to discover while out walking.
Council senior countryside development officer, Becky Blockley, said: “Winter is a great time of year to get out and about in the beautiful Wyre Forest.
“Our audio trails offer an excellent opportunity to learn more about areas to explore, enabling both Worcestershire residents and visitors to our county to benefit even more from that healthy walk in the fresh air of the countryside.
“We hope lots of people will take the opportunity to download and enjoy these trails and let us know what they think of them.”
The tours cover Dowles Brook, Ribbesford, Upper Arley and Wassell Wood. The files are in mp3 format and can be saved on to mp3 players and smartphones. Written transcripts are also available.
