Stourport cannabis factory - two remanded in custody

TWO men have appeared in court in connection with the discovery of a cannabis factory in Stourport.

Quan Vo, 22 and Quang Nguyen, 34, both of no fixed address, were charged with being concerned in the production of a controlled drug.

They appeared before Worcester Magistrates Court on Saturday and were remanded in custody to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Thursday, February 14.

The charges follow the discovery last Thursday of about 2,000 cannabis plants in various stages of development at an industrial unit on the Sandy Lane industrial estate.

Twleve other people arrested on suspicion of drugs offences were released on police bail until Thursday and Friday, May 9 and 10, pending further inquiries.
