Runners heading to Wyre Forest for charity jog

RUNNERS will be heading down to the woods to take part in the British Heart Foundation’s Wyre Forest jog.

The jog, which takes place on Sunday, will see participants running five or 10km through the Wyre Forest.

The route is off-road and traffic free and is suitable for anyone who would like to walk, run or jog.

Jemma Curran, event organiser, said: “We’re very excited about this year’s Wyre Forest Jog and hope to see many enthusiastic people eager and willing to take on the challenge.

“We can’t guarantee it won’t rain and there is bound to be plenty of mud, but that is all part of the fun. It’ll be a fantastic day, and you’ll be getting fit and saving lives too.”

Registration will be open from 9am at Wyre Forest Visitors Centre, in Callow Hill, followed by a group warm-up at 10.45am with the jog starting at 11am.

Entry fees are £17 for adults and £5 for children and participants are encouraged to raise as much money from sponsorship as possible.
