A KIDDERMINSTER nursery has been growing daffodils for Marie Curie Cancer Care Day.

St Oswald’s Nursery and Primary School, in Sion Avenue, has been taking part in the Mini Pots of Care planting activity to help children aged three to 11 learn about science, nature and charity.

The nursery will be sending donation envelopes home with children to help raise funds to support terminally-ill patients and their families.

The Marie Curie Cancer care day took place yesterday.

Sam Goodman, school manager, said: “Our children have looked after the daffodils so well that they actually bloomed well before the due date but we still wanted to celebrate their lovely achievements.”
