West Mercia Chief Constable offers web chat
2:41pm Monday 4th March 2013 in News
West Mercia Police Chief Constable David Shaw will be taking part in a web chat to answer questions from the public.
Mr Shaw will take questions online from 6.30pm tomorrow.
He said: "It is a very important part of my job to listen to the people we serve, to understand their thoughts and concerns, and to be held accountable for the service we deliver.
"While it is inevitable that some of the questions will be in relation to the recent announcement about our new local policing plans, I would also welcome any other queries people may have about policing in their area and I thoroughly look forward to a lively and interesting set of questions and views."
Anyone unable to go online tomorrow between 6.30pm and 8pm can leave their questions for Mr Shaw in advance on the West Mercia Police Facebook page or on Twitter @westmerciapolice.
A transcript of the web chat will also be available on the West Merica Police website after the event.
Mr Shaw will not be able to answer questions about specific crimes or ongoing court cases.
The live web chat will take place at westmercia.police.uk/webchat/
