Raising money: The Lucky Severn Scooter Club ride into Kemp Hospice with their donation.
TWO Wyre Forest clubs have chosen to support Kemp Hospice’s Children’s Appeal.
The Lucky Severn Scooter Club has donated £900 raised from donations, club funds, Christmas party proceeds and a raffle to help support bereaved children in Wyre Forest and the surrounding areas.
Chairman Steve Taylor said: “This year we chose Kemp's Children's Appeal and bereavement hub campaign due to the fact that it’s a new campaign, it is local to where the club is based and for children.”
The money brings the total raised by the children’s appeal up to £9,971, nearly one-third of the way towards Kemp’s target.
The appeal, in association with The Shuttle, aims to raise £30,000 for 30 weeks to pay for activities and residential weekends for bereaved children and their families.
The Lucky Severn Scooter Club organises weekly ride-outs as well as attends national rallies.
It has more than 40 members with both vintage and modern scooters who like to raise money for charity alongside club events.

The Stourport Floral Art Club has also chosen the appeal as its charity of the year due to it being a new appeal and local to the club.
The first fundraising event for the Children’s Appeal will take place on Monday, March 25 at Areley Kings Village Hall at 7.30pm where Sue Blandsford will be giving a flower arranging demonstration.
The club will donate as much as they can to the appeal from the £8 ticket price. For more information call 01299 826620.
