A FREE bicycle-marking session was held at a Kidderminster supermarket to help combat theft.
West Mercia Police Partners and Communities Together marked shopper’s bicycles with UV pens at Asda, in New Road.
The UV markings will help police identify the bikes should they be stolen.
The supermarket hopes to hold another session later in the year which will include tips on personal safety.
UV pens, leaflets and wearable reflectors were also given out during the day to help keep cyclists safe.
As well as the bicycle-marking event, raffle tickets were sold for a Pamper Hamper and life-size cardboard cut-out of Daniel Craig as James Bond.
The draw was held on Mother’s Day on Sunday and the winner was Lesley Cooper, who works at Thomas Vale Construction in Stourport.
