CHILDREN in Kidderminster will have the chance to bend it like Beckham with a special family football session.

Parents and children will be able to practise their ball skills at the Co-operatve Childcare Nursery, Coventry Street, on Saturday at an event which will feature a lesson with Harriers community coach Nick Griffiths.

The lesson, which starts at 1pm and lasts an hour, is designed to develop the coordination and agility skills of children aged three to seven through a range of inspiring games, including hand eye coordination play activities.

Babita Saroy, senior nursery manager at the Co-operative Childcare, said: “We are very excited about our football event which promises to be fun and action packed.

“It’s a great opportunity for children to learn how to stay fit and active through an exciting, interactive session while having fun spending time with their family.

“We are a community nursery and are keen to support parents and children in the community in any way we can. Holding a free football session is just one of the ways we are bringing our co-operative values to life.”
