Taste of Europe: A Spanish marketeer at his stall. Flavours from across Europe will be on offer at a food and craft fair at Severnside North on Sunday.
BEWDLEY will come alive with the tastes, smells and products of continental Europe when the Traditional European Food and Craft Fair arrives in town.
Bringing produce and products that are new and different, the fair will be in Severnside North tomorrow from 9.30 am until 5pm.
The town centre is expected to be transformed into more of a bustling market place, as the marketeers aim to build on the success of their visits in earlier years.
Olivier Simonin, market organiser, said: “We have new professional continental market traders from France, Belgium, Italy,Spain, Holland, Poland and many more countries, who will be selling high-quality products.
“This year, we have some new exciting stalls – German salami, Finnish crafts, Peruvian handicrafts, Italian macaroons and Dutch flowers but also the popular ones, such as French cheeses, bread and croissant, olives ,dry fruits and nuts from Greece, paella and German sausages.”
He said there would be something for everyone at the market, adding shoppers could also choose from products including handbags and leather items, Marseille soaps, lavender, children’s toys and pashminas.
Most of the products onsale will come from each stall holder’s region, where they are produced by small organisations, such as family businesses, farms or small factories, using traditional methods maintaining a high standard of quality,”Mr Simonin added.
“All of the traders will also wear their traditional local costumes from 100years ago, as well asdecorating their stall to represent the region of the country they come from.”
