A DETERMINED Kidderminster youngster has been awarded a full scholarship to a prestigious Worcestershire school.
Megan Wang, 10, who attends Franche Community Primary School, Chestnut Grove, will study at Royal Grammar School Worcester from September on a music scholarship.
According to her school, Megan has performed so well academically she was moved forward to year six last September - a year early.
The scholarship comes after years of hard work and constant practising, which has helped Megan achieve her grade seven in piano and grade three in violin at a young age. She has also recently taken her grade five music theory exam.
Her year six teacher Leighton Mitchell said: “We are delighted for Megan. She excels in and outside of the classroom as a result of hard work, commitment and determination.
“We are all very proud of Megan’s academic and musical achievements and we’re looking forward to hearing about her continued success in the future.”
