Wyre Forest home movers told 'take TV licence with you'
3:20pm Tuesday 20th August 2013 in News
PEOPLE moving house are being warned to “take their TV licence with them”.
According to figures released by TV Licensing, August is the busiest month for moving house, so it is reminding summer home movers and renters in Wyre Forest about their TV licence responsibilities.
Last year, TV Licensing helped more than 4,000 home movers in the DY postcode area, which includes Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley, transfer their TV licence from their old address to their new residence.
Home movers can update their licence details online at tvlicensing.co.uk/moving, at any time of day or night.
Mark Whitehouse, TV Licensing spokesman for the West Midlands, said: “Whether you’re a home owner or renting, moving house can be stressful at the best of times.
“TV Licensing would like to remind movers to take a few minutes out from the chaos of packing and unpacking to update their details.
“To make it even easier, home movers can change the address of their TV Licence up to three months before they move, so it’s one less thing to think about before the big day arrives.”
