'My Jade' not offender - father

A KIDDERMINSTER father has sought to clarify the identity of a speeding motorist, after his daughter of the same name received offensive facebook messages.
Last week, The Shuttle reported Jade Saunders, 21, of Birch Crescent, Tividale, Oldbury, had been handed a 12-month community order with nine months of supervision and a motor offending course by Judge Daniel Pearce-Higgins at Worcester Court Court.
She had been speeding along the A450 Harvington Road, near Kidderminster, on May 26 last year when her Mini clipped the kerb, spun out of control and ploughed into a Toyota on the opposite side of the road.
Kidderminster resident Andrew Saunders, however, said his daughter Jade, 21, of Ferndale Crescent, Kidderminster, also drove a Mini and some people, including friends and family, were confusing her with the offender.
“We are concerned that everybody is now saying that [my] Jade is the one reported on,” he added.
“Jade Saunders [of Ferndale Crescent], is not the person in the report.”
Saunders, of Oldbury, was also ordered to do 125 hours of unpaid work and pay £300 costs plus a £60 victim surcharge and was disqualified from driving for 18 months.
