A FIRE that was "maliciously" started spread from an embankment in Bewdley to a Severn Valley Railway carriage yesterday.
Firefighters from Bewdley attended the scene at 4.20pm yesterday after the blaze, started on an embankment in Northwood Lane, spread to an unused SVR carriage.
The carriage was parked up at the time and there were no injuries or evacuations.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "The fire is believed to be malicious. We have informed the Severn Valley Railway and West Mercia Police."
Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire and left the scene at 5.30pm.
