Kidderminster College's Giles through to boot camp

KIDDERMINSTER College student Giles Potter has made it through to X Factor boot camp despite judge Gary Barlow calling his second audition a “car crash”.
Giles, 16, admitted he had messed up when he forgot the words to Jackie Wilson’s Reet Petite in his arena audition shown last night.
The judges gave the musical theatre student a pass to the next round despite telling him he needed to work on his vocals.
Gary Barlow then went backstage to tell the youngster: “I want you to go really far in this that's why I'm being tough on you.
“You've got to wake up. What most people have when they walk out there is 90 per cent voice ten per cent charisma.
"At the moment you've got too much charisma. You need to get the vocals up to that level.”
After fluffing the lyrics, Giles, of Norton, near Worcester, admitted that he was nervous as he performed to the big crowd.
Sharon Osbourne told him he was a “natural entertainer” after Gary Barlow said: "That song was a car crash. You didn’t know what you were doing.
"You did the wrong verse to the wrong chorus, You’ve got to take this more seriously, you’ve got it in you.”
