A KIDDERMINSTER care home has scooped an award for its customer service for the fifth year running.
The Grange has received the Government’s Customer Service Excellence award, along with two other homes in Worcestershire.
The Kidderminster home earned the certificate, which recognises customers are at the core of everything local authorities do, following an annual inspection.
The facility, in Sutton Park Road, provides residential and daycare services for older people suffering from dementia and physical disabilities, so they can lead independent lives in their own homes.
It was tested in areas that are a priority for customers, such as professionalism, staff attitude and timeliness.
The other homes to receive the certificate were Timberdine Nursing and Rehabilitation Unit in Worcester and Howbury House in Malvern.
Conservative councillor Sheila Blagg, Worcestershire County Council’s cabinet member for adult social care, said: “I am delighted these three homes have again received the Customer Service Excellence award, which shows how we put the needs of our customers first in everything we do.
“These centres provide essential care for some of our most vulnerable residents and it is reassuring for the public to know what high standards they maintain and I would like to thank the staff who work in them for their continued commitment and providing a quality service.”
