Woodcraft courses making a big difference
A SUPPORT service outside Cleobury Mortimer for people with learning difficulties has given users the opportunity to give DIY a go.
A grant from the European Social Fund has enabled Nineveh Ridge Care Farm, which is between Cleobury Mortimer and Bayton, to hold successful woodcraft courses for adults with special needs.
The sessions have given individuals the chance to make a keepsake for themselves or their families.
Footstools, spring bulb planters, painted storage boxes and decoupage-covered hobby horses have all been made since the start of the year.
Founder Pippa Bannister said she hoped the classes had given memories that would “last a lot longer than the four-day taster sessions”.
