A JURY has been sworn in to try the case of a man accused of murdering his wife at their Kidderminster home.
Alan Evans, 35, appeared at Worcester Crown Court today for the beginning of his trial.
He denies killing his 32-year-old wife Louise between July 9 and July 11 last year at the home they shared in Stoney Lane, Kidderminster. He wore a grey suit for the hearing and spoke to confirm his name.
The jury panel were read a list of the names of witnesses who might be giving evidence in the case, along with relevant locations. They confirmed they did not have any connections to any of them which might influence the trial.
The case was adjourned until next Monday, when prosecutor Jonas Hankin QC is due to outline the Crown Prosecution Service's evidence in the case.
Evans was remanded in custody.
