Spooky charity Halloween disco to take place in Kidderminster
6:30am Thursday 24th October 2013 in News
ZOMBIES and ghosts will be partying into the witching hour at a charity Halloween disco in Kidderminster.
The special event is raising funds for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital after organisers were inspired by Kidderminster two-year-old Adele Cooper’s fight against cancer.
The disco, organised by Stormy Blue Events, is taking place at the Kidderminster Harriers Social Club on Saturday.
Organiser Tim Wasko said: “The event will have the Boo factor. It’s fancy dress and there will be prizes for adults and children.”
The scares will begin before party-goers enter the venue, with ‘zombies’ roaming around the car park.
There will also be psychic mediums dressed as witches offering readings throughout the night and audience participation games.
Mr Wasko added: “We’ve been holding events for Adele who has just had treatment in Arizona. The money will be going to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and we hope to have some of Adele’s family at the event on Saturday.”
Stormy Blue Events also hold regular psychic medium nights at the Swan pub in Kidderminster.
Mr Wasko added: “It’s a light-hearted event. We wanted to do something to bring the town back together. It’s a brilliant venue.”
During the event, a ‘judge’ will make himself known and will be hunting for witches. Audience members will then be made to go ‘on trial’ and those who are found guilty, will be given a forfeit.
At 9.30pm, there will be a raffle and auction to raise funds for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital as well as bucket shaking throughout the night.
Mr Wasko added: “My events are known to be unique, it’s not the bog standard Halloween ball or Christmas party. I do to events what Heston Blumenthal does to food.”
Tickets cost £7.50 per person and are available on the door or by calling 01562 824581 or 07936 403924.
