SANTA is joining the festivities at a Stourport care home for a Christmas fair.

Ravenhurst Residential Care Home, in Lickhill Road North, will be hosting the fair on Saturday from 1pm to 4.30pm.

The home’s day care conservatory will be transformed into Santa’s grotto and there will be stalls selling cakes, jewellery, bric-a-brac and cards.

There will also be a tombola and Christmas-themed competitions, including hoop Rudolf’s antlers and Christmas cookie decorating, and a stand with children’s football group FootieBugs.

The home’s activities leader Carla Siwicki, who has organised the event said: “Our residents absolutely love Christmas and are already getting into the festive mood.

“They love to see new faces so what better way to get the festivities started than to welcome people from the local community along to our event.”

Entry to the fair is free and the money raised on the day will go to the residents’ activities fund, which pays for trips for the residents.
