WORZEL Gummidge and Aunt Sally will be hosting a festive tea party at Co-operative Travel in Kidderminster.

The branch, inside Co-operative Food in Franche Road, will be holding the Christmas tea party dressed as the popular children's characters on Tuesday for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Staff members will be serving up hot drinks and cake in return for donations to the Midcounties Co-operative chosen charity.

There will also be an opportunity to win a prize by dropping your name in a hat.

Branch manager Gina Scott said: "We don't have a café or a restaurant on site and being Christmas, we thought it'd be nice to for people to come in for a hot chocolate and a festive cake.

"We chose Worzel Gummidge and Aunt Sally as their famous for their tea parties.

"Last year we did a tombola for Women's Aid but we wanted to do something different. Instead of it being a travel shop, it'll be a tea shop for the day."

The event will take place between 11am to 3pm with all proceeds going to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
