TWO Wyre Forest singers have joined forces to produce their first charity CD.

Soprano Judith Standing, of Kidderminster, and tenor Oran O'Kane, of Bewdley, will be donating a proportion of their profits to the British Heart Foundation.

The duo have performed at concerts and operas throughout Wyre Forest and met while singing with the Stourport Choral and Operatic Society, now known as the Stourport Choral Society.

Mrs Standing has performed as a guest soloist at the Royal Albert Hall and Mr O'Kane, who has won the best Tenor solo at Cheltenham Festival, has performed as a soloist with the Kidderminster Valentines.

The CD, entitled Love Unspoken, features classical hits and music from West End shows. Composers featured include Ralph Vaughan Williams, Giacomo Puccini, Antonin Dvorak and William Strauss.

Mr O'Kane said: "We've appeared in lots of shows and sang together in Stourport Operatic. We're both very experienced.

"There's one piece in it called Love Unspoken which is where we chose the name from. It's a very nice mix of music and there's piano and string accompaniment.

"I was going to produce a CD on my own but I approached Judith as she teaches voice and music."

The piano accompaniment was provided by Angela Allard and the CD was recorded in Kidderminster.

The duo will be selling their CD at Stourport Choral Society's carol concert at Stourport Civic Theatre Hall on Friday at 7.30pm.
