WYRE Forest Dial-A-Ride is extending its community bus service to help more passengers get to hospital and doctors appointments.

The Hopper Community Bus Service, serving Hume Street Medical Centre and Kidderminster Hospital, has received permission from the Traffic Commissioner to vary its routes to improve the service for the public.

From Monday, January 6, its route 12 service will travel both ways along Carpet Trades Way and on route 13, the service will now travel both ways along Walter Nash Road.

Hopper service driver Mark Ashley said “The changes have been brought about as a result of talking to passengers and finding out what would suit them. Our aim is to improve the service we provide for local people to enable them to get out and about and do the things that they need to do.”

The Hopper Service has been in operation five days a week for nearly a year.

Copies of the new timetable will be available from the driver on the Hopper Bus or from Wyre Forest Dial-A- Ride.
