THE Shuttle has teamed up with leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey to offer local good causes the chance to receive £500 in our fantastic Community Chest initiative.

We want readers to nominate worthy causes in the Shuttle circulation area which you feel are most deserving of a cash award.

It could be a local charity which relies heavily on donations to keep up its good work in the community or an organisation which makes a real difference to the place where you live.

We are accepting nominations for the Community Chest until Friday, January 24 and will then draw up a shortlist of five of the most deserving causes, before inviting readers to vote for their favourite in a special poll on the Shuttle website. Nominations must operate in the Shuttle circulation area and The group topping our poll will receive £500.

Elaine Taylor, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey West Midlands, which is currently building high-quality new homes at its Stour Valley development in Stourport Road, Kidderminster, said: “We are delighted to be teaming up with The Shuttle to offer readers the chance to nominate their favourite local cause for a cash boost. The Community Chest is a great way to recognise the unsung heroes of your neighbourhood, and I’d urge readers to get involved ."

To nominate a group, email Shuttle editor Clive Joyce at clive.joyce@kidderminstershuttle.co.uk with “Community Chest nomination” in the subject line. In no more than 200 words, tell us why you think it deserves some financial help and don’t forget to include your name and telephone number.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, January 24 and the online poll will be held in February.
