MASKED raiders armed with a crowbar burst into a Kidderminster petrol station and demanded cash from terrified staff.
The three men forced their way into the Sainsbury's petrol station through the back door as staff were cashing up at 11.30pm last night.
They fled empty handed after a member of staff blocked their access to the safe.
The petrol station remains closed this morning while police investigate the incident.
The entrance to the site is currently blocked off until the scene of crime officers can attend.
The petrol station is expected to reopen this afternoon.
