A KIDDERMINSTER man is to stand trial accused of burgling a flat in the town and stealing DVDs and other property worth a total of £1,045.
Following an investigation, John Kenneth Stancer, 35, of Avon Road, was arrested on Saturday and subsequently charged with a burglary at Rochester Walk, off Tennyson Way, on November 16, last year.
He is accused of stealing between 80 and 100 DVDs, a DVD-player and remote, perfume, a watch and a suitcase from the property.
Some of the stolen items, including all the DVDs, have since been recovered by detectives from Kidderminster CID.
Stancer was brought before Worcester magistrates yesterday when he pleaded not guilty and the case was adjourned for a trial at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on April 1.
He has been released on court bail until the the tria.
A 33-year-old Kidderminster woman was also previously arrested in connection with the same burglary and is currently on police bail until Thursday.
