A KIDDERMINSTER woman arrested three times in one month has been given a Criminal Anti Social Behaviour Order (CRASBO) to put a stop to her drink-fuelled antics.

Kidderminster magistrates were told Michelle Law was well known to police as a drunken, aggressive and violent woman who caused intimidation and distress to others.

The CRASBO, granted last Thursday, stops 51-year-old Law from entering Ismere Way, where she used to live and from being drunk and disorderly in any public place.

Law is banned from shouting, swearing, fighting or engaging in a domestic dispute which causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to another person not of the same household as herself.

She is also banned from behaving in an aggressive, intimidating or threatening manner which causes or is likely to cause alarm, harassment or distress to anyone that witnesses it.

The order lasts for three years and if she breaches it she faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison.

Law is now of no fixed address after being evicted from her previous address in Ismere Way for shouting, swearing and threatening her neighbours.

A two-year Anti Social Behaviour Order was previously granted against her in May 2010, and she was jailed for 22 weeks in September 2010 for breaching the order.

Inspector Paul Crowley of West Mercia Police said: “Police have received numerous calls about Law’s behaviour.

“She came to the attention of officers nine times during December 2013 alone, which resulted in her being arrested three times, including for swearing and being abusive towards officers and for walking in the road when she was stopping traffic and punching cars.

“The third offence was an assault on New Year’s Eve which was foolishly committed in the front office of Kidderminster police station.

“Law clearly has a number of problems but she needs to understand we must protect members of the community from her behaviour.

“She has already had a spell in prison for ignoring the terms of an ASBO, and we hope she has learned from that experience, and keeps out of trouble this time.”

As well as imposing the CRASBO, the magistrates gave Law a six-month community order, subjected her to a nightly curfew between 7pm and 7am and ordered her to wear an electronic tag.
