WYRE Forest Citizens Advice will be taking part in a national campaign to help people save money on their gas and electricity bills.

The Big Energy Saving Week takes place from Monday to next Friday when Wyre Forest CAB volunteers will be on hand to give advice on how switching suppliers and insulating homes can save money.

Kate Bennett of the Wyre Forest CAB said: "More and more people are coming to us for advice on how to spend less on their fuel bills and manage their costs.

"Whilst we continue to help people on a daily basis with face to face and online advice, there is a real need to reach out to more people who are struggling and Big Energy Saving Week will enable us to do just that."

This initiative comes after a successful Big Energy Week in January last year which gave advice to more than 75,000 people nationally.

The campaign, organised by Citizens Advice, is in association with energy suppliers, other charitable partners and the Government to give people expert tips and information on how to cut the amount of energy they use.
