KEMP Hospice has raised £7,800 in its annual Christmas raffle this year.
First prize of £1,000 was awarded to David Collins. He said: "Like most people I buy raffle tickets as a gesture of support. You know that someone will win, but never dream that it will be you.
"It is a wonderful surprise, and the prize money will be spent on something very special, but the important thing is knowing that the raffle as a whole has once again proved an essential fundraising source for Kemp."
Hospice fundraiser Elena Bloomfield said: “Kemp Hospice would like to thank everyone who took part in this year’s Christmas raffle as they helped raise almost £7,800 which will make a huge difference to the work Kemp can achieve supporting the Wyre Forest community.”
All Kemp Hospice services are provided free of charge and delivered by a skilled clinical team.
The hospice needs to raise £940,000 annually, the majority of which raised by voluntary contributions and donations.
