A CANNABIS factory has been discovered by police investigating a suspected burglary in Stourport.
Officers called to the Sandy Lane industrial estate yesterday evening found around 15 cannabis plants and a large quantity of cannabis bush, together worth an estimated £9,000.
A 45-year-old man from Stourport was arrested shortly afterwards and has this afternoon been charged with producing cannabis. He is due to appear before Kidderminster magistrates on February 13.
PC Jon Challoner of West Mercia Police said: “It was by chance that officers discovered the cannabis factory, and we are very pleased that as a result a substantial quantity of drugs will never reach the streets.”
