TWO boxes of specialist records which were believed stolen from Kidderminster have been returned to their owner.
The specialist soul vinyl records in two DJ-type boxes were taken from the Horsefair on Wednesday, January 15.
It was thought they had been stolen from outside the Peacock pub while the owner, Terry Thomas of the Mr Tee’s shop opposite, was unloading his vehicle.
However, following publicity a man contacted Mr Thomas to say he had seen the record boxes as he had driven past and had taken them for safekeeping.
Mr Thomas said: “I’m very relieved and grateful to get the records back and want to thank everyone concerned.”
PC Andy Forbes of West Mercia Police said: “The man took the records to the shop after seeing online coverage about the theft. We are very pleased Mr Thomas has got them back.”
