CIGARETTES have been stolen from a van while its driver was unloading it at a Kidderminster filling station.
The incident happened at the Viaduct Service Station at the BP garage on Worcester Road at about 7am this morning when two men took a quantity of cigarettes from the vehicle.
The 49-year-old driver of Iveco Ford box van was preparing to unload the goods when two men wearing balaclavas got in and pulled down the shutters.
They told the driver to stay where he was and stole the cigarettes which they loaded into a smaller white van. No weapons were seen and the van driver was not directly threatened however he was told to move and to look away.
A West Mercia Police spokesman said the force wanted to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious vehicles in the area at the time.
Anyone with information should call Kidderminster CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
