THE British Heart Foundation (BHF) is calling all Kidderminster residents to take part in its annual Wyre Forest Trail Run on Sunday, March 16.

More than 800 people are expected to take part to raise funds for research, which could create a better future for babies born with heart defects and adults affected by heart disease .

Starting in Wyre Forest, runners will follow the forest paths for either 5km or 10km.

Last year , runners raised more than £13,000 and BHF is hoping to increase that figure to £25,000.

Helen Wright, regional event organiser for BHF , said: “Heart disease kills nearly 74,000 a year— it’s vital we all join the fight to help eradicate this deadly disease .”

The event is open to every- one, but under -16-year -olds should be accompanied by an adult.
